BROKNARRAN CROWN LINEAGE

First Crown: Lord Magnus the Munro

Magnus, besides being a founding Citizen, was the First Baron and later the First Duke of Broknarra. During his tenure Broknarra's citizenship grew to well over two-hunded and seasonal gatherings were in excess of one-hundred.

Among his accomplishment are:

* Honored with naming the first stronghold, Broknarra

* Co-created the Annals of Apokrypha

* Co-founded Maelstrom

* Accorded the title of Master Crafter

* Acorded Lordship for multiple years of service to Broknarra

* Co-founded Fraternus Mortis

* Co-founded Triad

* Accorded Knight of Apokrypha by King's Council

* Seven-time veteran of Namron Border Conflicts

* Aided in establishment of Wulpert Colony

Second Crown: Sir Doolin MacKeag

Doolin, also a founding Citizen, was the First Castellan and later the First Count of Broknarra.

Among his accomplishment are:

* Founded Doolin's Teeth

* Accorded the title of Master Crafter

* Accorded Lordship for multiple years of service to Broknarra

* Victor of two Gatherings

*Won right to name The Ruins "Doolin's Keep"

* Three-time veteran of Namron Border Conflicts

* Accorded Knight of Apokrypha by King's Council

* Ascended to Crown as Count upon abdication of Sir Magnus

* Co-founded Triad

* Honored by Motomushi at Known World War II; renewed "Keep" title

Third Crown: Master, Lord Robert Markham

Lord Markham, as he humbly prefers to be referred to, ascended to the Crown, as second Count, upon the abdication of Sir Doolin. Furthermore, Markham was the last Crown to ascend to the Crown by peaceful abdication.

Among his accomplishment are:

* Won Master-At-Arms during seasonal Arms Tournament

* ONLY Eight-time Veteran of the Namron Border Conflict

Fourth Crown: Lord Iain "The Ogre" MacAlpine

After many years of faithful service among the line of Castellans, being heretofor faithful stewards of the Crown, in the absence Count Markham, decension arose amongst the populace of Broknarra. Being long curious as to Markham's absence, it was assumed that we was long dead; quite possibly on some fool's errand crusade with Magnus, such as the famed Namron Border Conflicts

During this time, the cunning Iain convinced Castellan Boltac, the current steward, to declare Markham dead and the Crown forfiet. While Iain's methods seemed dire, his motives were pure; being desirous to establish some order in the wilds that had become Broknarra, after the faithful, yet frustrated, Lord Thomas relinquished his seat as Castellan to Boltac.

Unbenownst to Iain, the new Castellan aimed to rule from behind the throne. The fruit of his efforts drove Iain into exile until his health recovered and forces could be marshalled to set things aright in Broknarra.

In his absence, by Iain's own account, the heretofor seemingly trusted Castellan even conspired to remove his hard earned Lordship. Fortuantely, Broknarran loyalists restored order to Broknarra and upheld Iains claim to Nobility.

Fifth Crown: Lord Milus Gaius Tiberius

In the latter period amidst turmoil in Broknarra, Milus stepped forward to sustain the Crown as third Count of Broknarra, until the First War of the Crown could be conducted. Lord Milus wrested victory during the War and was crowned First Earl of Broknarra

Earl Milus peacefully abdicated his crown at the Second Annual War of the Crown on 21 Septermber, ACI XXI at the Known World War IV.

BROKNARRAN CROWN LINEAGE

Sixth Crown: Master, Lord Felcyn Fistophilus

Following the year of the Earl Uncrowned, owing toLord Magnus the Munro's refusal to accept the Crown until Broknarra had been fully restored, Lord Felcyn contended with Lord Urlich of Hay on 4 October, ACI XXII, to become Broknarra's next Earl. When the contest was completed, Lord Felcyn secured the Crown by means of several hard-fought, narrowly won, victories.

Lord Magnus, being the rightful possesor of the Crown per his unclaimed victory the year before, performed the Coronation honors during the Grand Feast of the Known World War V before all present.

Felcyn's first order of business was to exercise his authority as Earl to affirm Wolfgang von Heimlich as Lord, as per the majority recommendation of standing Lords and Ladies.

During Felcyn's reign, Broknarra was restored to much of its past glory with practices reaching as high as 91 (average of 60+ year around and 40+% higher than the prior year) and gatherings as high as 116.

With Broknarra being the capital of MELEE, the Broknarran Crown is a position of considerable esteem. The person chose by the populace to fulfill this role is someone who has spent their time within the realm serving Broknarra and exemplifying all that we hold in high regard. The Crown is a person who is representative of all that is good within Broknarra and as such they are bestowed the ability to confer awards for deeds. Among the high awards are such items as the Badges of Deed, Champions Badge, High Faction Pennant, and MELEE Faction of the Year Pennant. Among the highest honors a Crown bestows is Nobility. Only the Crown, having received a majority endorsement of current (active Citizenship) Lords and Ladies, may bestow the Azure Honorific of Nobility.

Eighth Annual Crown War December 13th ACI XXVI

Seventh Crown: Master, Lord Tristin du Navarre

Lord Tristin renewed his hold on the Crown by winning Crown War V on December 10th of ACI XXIV. By virtue of having attained more than 200 citizens, outfitting a more-than-complete staff, Broknarra earned the designation of Duchy as it entered ACI XXV ('06) and consequently Lord Tristin was crowned Duke of Broknarra on January 21st.

He first ascended to the throne of Broknarra on October 16, ACI XXIII (2004) following his victory during Broknarra's Fourth Crown War at the Known World War VI on October 2nd, ACI XXIII where he contended with the sitting Earl, Lord Felcyn Fistophilus.

Lord Tristin was Crowned the 3rd Earl of Broknarra by 2nd Earl Lord Felcyn during the celebratory feast on October 16.

Eigthth Crown: Lord Tragos the Goat

Lord Tragos has been a mainstay of Broknarra, "The People's Goat", for many years. First arriving circa ACI VIII.

Lord Tragos as fought among many factions including Chaos, Dragons Storming the Mountain, and most recently as captain of Sparta.

Among his accomplishment are:

* Served as Chancellor of Reeves

* Accorded Lordship

* Served several years as a Reeve

* Crowned Duke ACI XXV - Eigth Crown of Broknarra & 3rd Duke

Standing Criteria for Contender Eligibility (ACI XXI to present):

1. Citizen of Apokrypha residing in Broknarra on record as of declaration day.

2. Must be a Noble (Lord or Lady).

3. Must have achieved at least Mentor Crafter status.

4. Must have been in attendance at Broknarra at 75% of last six months up to Declaration Day deadline.

5. Declaration Day: Must have delared intention to contend for Crown by two months prior to date of War.

6. Must have placed during a prequalifying tourney during the twelve months prior to the Crown War.

7. The sitting Crown may defend their title against a the top contender who meets the requirements.

8. If more than one person meets the requirements and wishes to contend for Crown, they must first have a battle - Contender Battle (of their armies) - to determine who will fight agaisnt the Crown OR which two will proceed to the Crown War should the incumbent Crown not choose to contend AND there are more than two incipient contenders.

Ninth Crown: Lord Thelia of Broknarra

Lord Thelia has tirelessly served Broknarra since migrating there during ACI XIX (2000). She has fought on many factions and continues to actively serve the group.
