MELEE BATTLE LOG
September 13, ACI XXII
CLICK for details of the upcoming Crown War on October 4th!
Despite the rain, nearly FIFTY (49) folk turned out to participate in MELEE at Crane's Keep this last Satuday, 13 September. Among them were a battery of brand new and renewing Citizens.

Lords Ulrich and Felcyn were both present to actively recruit for their contingents who will fight for the Earl's Crown on 4 October. Arawn won this week's Iron Man Battle Royale along with the associated "Heroclix" prize; compliments of the Order of the Nine
Hands.  Faction battle victories:- Fantastic Fourth I, - Dark Order I,  Nororfolk I.   Current standings here.
A new battle was spawned to take full advantage of the abundant mud: the Plateau Battle. Siezing two patches of land framed on all sides by precipices (concrete sidewalks) with but a narrow bridge between them, the forces of Lord Gustavus, Lord Felcyn, Lord Genseric, and Arawn paired-off to fight to decide which remaining contingents would battle over the bridge in order to be freed from the lofty "arena."
The attendance wager was won by Mentor Tym the Viking who wisely low-balled given the chance of rain. With fair weather promised for this coming Saturday, perhaps we will see the wager renewed.

Be sure to mark your calendar as we are ever closer to choosing our next Crown Earl and especially the highlight event of the year: Known World War V !
Above left we see the forces of Lord Genseric (black tunic & blue sleeves) arrayed against Lord Gustavus (chain shirt with pole weapon).  As the battle progressed, Gustavus' contingent was forced to the very edge of the precipice; which Lord Gustavus being slain near the very edge.  Above center we see Lord Andalyn MacFurdith defending the slain Gustavus against Kage of Dark Order (as the ghost of Lord Edmund strolls by).
Immediately above we see the forces of Lord Genseric and Arawn meeting on the narrow precipice after besting the forces of Lord Gustavus and Lord Felcyn respectively.  Numerous battles were fought among the two contenders for the pass, but the final victory went to Lord Genseric, thanks in no small part to the stalwart John McCoy (featured front and center tucked behind the large silver shield).
