Being the son born out of the seemingly unorthodox marriage of a court jester and a knight, I've led an..... interesting life. While trained to be a court performer by my mother, my father started to train me in the art of combat before the event that brought me to Broknarra unfolded.
One day the castle where I lived was under siege by nearby warring province, and myself and the rest of the castle staff helped the royal family to a safer place. Eventually, it was down to the stable master and me to get the princess Elena, the youngest of the royal family, to safety. Princess Elena was almost all the way through the passage to the outside when a large, heavily armored black knight broke the chamber's doors down. I told the stable master to go on and take the princess to the protected area; I would do my best to hold the knight back. I took the knight head-on, however, he overpowered me and I was knocked unconscious, but I had managed to buy enough time for the stable master and princess to escape. I woke up several hours later, blindfolded
and tied up on horseback, without the slightest idea where I was. The
black knight told me that since I foiled his plan to capture the princess, he would take me as a prisoner instead. One day he stopped at a waterfall to set up camp, and when he went off to find provisions, I managed to untie myself and I waited in a bush until the he returned. I
ambushed the black knight and proceeded to fight the black knight bythe
waterfall. Accidentally knocking him into and over the waterfall, I went
to the bottom of it, to check for his body. At the bottom, I couldn't find any sign of him, alive or dead. I traveled about a week through the countryside until I stumbled upon across a town filled with people. I asked a noble I came across what town this was. She replied "This is the
town of Broknarra, are you lost? Do you have a home?". I replied, "Yes... well... not anymore...". She said, "Don't worry, you just might have found a new one."
