Historical note:

Lance's complexion and firey mane incline most to believe him to be of some celtic, generally assumed Irish, origin.  Many have likened him to the younger version of Lord Robert Markham, who similarly exhibited great skill with the shield even during his novice years as a fighter.

Lance was among many who stood fast to the spirit and ideals of Broknarra, aiding in its revival and return to transparent government, when a separation occured among citizens and the nicho colony set out apart from the Realm of Apokrypha.  He has been a steadfast supporter of Broknarra and has served on many of the prominent recent factions: Fantastic Fourth and later Legio IX.

Under the guidance of Lord Kronin DeSunder, leader of the Fantastic Fourth, as well as Fentonius Maximus, Lance became an increasingly skilled shieldsman. After their sound victories as the Winter Solstice Gathering of ACI XXII, the Fantastic Fourth disbanded a short while later; leaving Lance to fight with his long time friend Alucard in support of the Dragons Storming the Mountain.

As the Dragons grew in strength, Lance departed, along with Alucard, to jointly form a triumvirate leadership with Lord Magnvs of a revived Roman fighting company, Legio IX.  As a member of the Triumvirate, Lance is slated to serve a rotating four-month term as Centurio (top leader). Meanwhile he serves as Optio (Leftenant) of Legio IX's cavalry.
