"Two years ago, I belonged to the Go-Daigo clan. When Go-Daigo tried to take back the power of Japan for the imperial family, his shogunate, the Ashikaga Clan, rebelled against him. The Ashikaga Clan drove Go-Daigo from the capitol of Kyoto and for over 2 years fought him and his descendants, but in 1392, the Ashikaga Shogunate convinced Go-Daigo to give them the Crown Jewels and other imperial treasures, thus making the Ashikaga Clan the rulers of Japan.

The battle still raging, my family decided to leave Japan in a bamboo boat we had constructed overnight. During said voyage, the rest of my family succumbed to starvation. I survived the trip due to my fishing skills. I made clothing from the tattered remains of my family's clothing and I chipped some of their bones into crude daggers in case the locals were violent. Upon landing at the shores of Apokrypha, I found them a warring people. I joined what seemed to be the most honorable faction, the Dragons Storming the Mountain.
