"My life has been one of interest.I was born in the early 1500's.I was fortunate to be born into a wealthy family in Germany.I was schooled in Austria,Vienna to be exact.My Germany was one of change and strife.My family had hoped i would become a lawyer to help with the family trade business.I wanted to be Landsknecht Mercenary,the life of travelling warrior appealed to me.

So in 1518 I left school and joined the Confedrate Swiss Landsnecht company.I was offered a commision because of my education and military training.We travelled all over europe and  had to recruit after almost every battle,life was short for dopplesoldner.It was in 1525 that we were hired by  Lannoy the Viceroy of Naples.Our job was to help liberate Lombardy. Francis I of France had invaded this region and was employing The black Legion,a group of Landsknechts under the command of George Langenmantel.These renegades had broken a cardinal rule of the Landsknechts,never side against the Fatherland.We attacked on Febuary 24 under the cover of night.We fought a feirce battle and killed all the men of the Black Legion who didnt retreat with the French.

Franacis the first had his horse shot out from under him and was captured.This war was over,not since Agincourt had so many French nobles lost their lives.I was wounded during the fighting and placed on a ship to return home.I was unconscious most of the time.I awoke in small cottage outside the town of Broknarra. Healed but lost. My story really begins here."
