With but a touch of the cooler weather peaking its head, MELEE beheld a delightful day at Willow's Meadow, Broknarra. With more than FIFTY folks on hand (with a host of the Dragons braving the day at an AirSoft event), we beheld the return of numerous Apokryphan Veterans (10+ years of Citizenship) including Lord Gustavus Tiberius, Lord
Genseric von Nurnberg, and Lord Jon Wallace. Similarly, we continue to behold strong attraction of newcomers including Jimmy Doss (referred by Will), Karena Blaes (referred by Valeria), Boone McCoy (referred by Kragan), and Jeffrey Blake (referred by Dustin Light).

Faction Battles
Four factions fielded in strength despite absences on the Dragons due to an Airsoft event and absences on Legio IX due to cold & flu season. Despite the best efforts of Dark Order, Legio IX, Sparta, and elements of Valhalla's Chosen, the Dragons Storming the Mountain
managed to secure 3 successive victories; furhter bolstering their position for MELEE Faction of the Year ACI XXIII.
Warlord Tourney: Santa vs. The Grinch
With bidding ending on midnight the evening of the 19th, Daimyo (Thane) Takeda Shingen and Lady Katherine Wallace emerged as the two High Captains in the first ever 4-week Warlord Tourney "Santa vs. The Grinch." Takeda chose Lance Almekia as his Leftenant and Lady Katherine chose Lord Magnus Munro as hers. As top bidder, Takeda elected to be The Grinch and has promised to field in garb supporting the Grinch ideals. Lady Katherine, meanwhile, will be fighting for the jolly St. Nick and his helpers. In Battle 1 of 4 (best of 3), Takeda managed to exstoll the virtues of "Grinchness" and capture the first point. Lady Katherine and the rest of Santa's followers have vowed to deliver the "Grinchlings" their own version of the "Christmas Spirit" at the upcoming Battle 2 of 4 on November 27th. Current score:

NEW Courtyard Battle!
A popular past event spawned in Broknarra returned this day as one and all witnessed the NEW Courtyard Battle with combatants on hand fighting through two entrances of the veritable MELEE castle during some exceedingly lengthy battles. This new bastion is of unparalleled size and promises to be a hit during the late Fall weekly practices at Willow's Meadow (Whiteside Park). Special thanks to "Kings" Ross and Doss for choosing the sides!
Qualifying Tourney 4 of 6: DAGGER
Later in the day, the 4th of 6 Qualifying Tourneys, DAGGER, was fought as parties seek to earn a slot to fight in the Champion's Tourney at the upcoming MELEE GATHERING on December 11th. After several rounds of fierce dagger fighting the top three placements were as follows:
